Groundswell is billed as the regenerative agriculture festival, or to adapt the sentiment behind Cloths of Heaven by WB Yates, ‘how to tread lightly on the earth.’
We make our tree shelters from unsaleable waste or by-products of the food industry, including British wool. This seemed to hit the spot with many visitors, with one commenting, ‘At last, someone is creating a new market for the product on which, for century’s, many of our market towns were built.’
We’re also protecting trees and hedges without putting more single-use virgin plastic into the countryside, where it really has no place.
I’d like to say thank you to everyone who visited our stand and apologise to those who passed us by because we looked ‘too busy’. Hopefully we’ll see you at the next show.
