This month, Tim Oliver, our technical sales director, went to the Arb Association show at Westonbirt. The Arboricultural Association ARB Show is the UK’s biggest show dedicated to arboriculture, promising a unique experience for all those with a passion for trees and the tree care industry.
Each day Tim gave a presentation on the benefits of our range of fully biodegradable NexGen tree shelters. When not presenting he had a great time visiting the show as you can see from his report:
They say ‘the sun shines on the righteous’, in which case the Arb Association must have amassed a whole host of good deeds in the run up to last weekend’s event at Westonbirt. Coming off several days of squally showers, the two-day event brought out the sun and the visitors, from councils to contractors, and climbers to tree officers.
It was nice to bump into Sara Redfern-Noons of Gloucester County Council, who reiterated her intention to use plenty of NexGen during the coming season. Equally, Angus Rankine and Jack McCrickard of The Forest of Avon Trust were keen to know if NexGen will be in full production for the coming season – that’s an affirmative guys.
As regards the presentation, there was a good turn out and news of our sheep’s wool shelters was well received. I was approached after the talk by one attendee, concerned to know if I thought there was enough wool available in the UK for all the tubes we’re planning to make. We have been assured by the wool industry that there is plenty of the wool we use for the foreseeable future.
