As part of October’s ‘Wool Month’, the first Wool Eisteddfod was held at The Senedd in Cardiff. Celebrating innovation in Welsh wool, it was organised by the Welsh Wool Alliance in partnership with British Wool, who kindly exhibited one of NexGen’s tree shelters on their display stand.
According to Gareth Jones, marketing manager for British Wool, members of the Senedd (as well as the public) were very supportive of what we’re doing at NexGen in creating new markets to support hard-pressed sheep farmers in Wales.
Plaid Cymru’s Llyr Huws Gruffydd, responsible for Rural Affairs, and the party’s leader, Rhun ap Iorwerth, expressed keen interest in our unique material.
A big thanks to Welsh Wool Alliance, British Wool, Gareth Jones and Penny Chantler. Our firm belief is that the wool industry is on the cusp of a positive change.
